Weight loss and strength increase?

I’m trying to get healthy. My joints and muscles need me to have less weight to carry, and stronger muscles to carry it with. I’ve decided this is my year. For various reasons, I’m holding myself accountable with the help of family and friends on Facebook. Every Monday I post an update. I’m saving them here for reference….and so you can cheer for me, too. 😉 I need all the cheering I can get. Thanks!

Years ago I did weight watchers and lost 4.5 stone. I kept it off until pregnancy, when circumstances combined to get me overweight again and keep me that way. Since then, I’ve tried many times to lose weight but not stuck with it. I’ve lost 2 stone and have been here for awhile.

I want to lose weight for my joints and ligaments. And my energy levels.

So every Monday I will come here and post one status about weight. One per week. I’m sorry if it annoys you, but I think I seriously need cheerleaders.

Cheerleaders, take note:

I’ve lost 4 pounds this week. My aim is to lose 1 pound per week, but I know from the past that a bigger loss in the first week is not unusual.

Now here’s where I will need cheering. The first week is never the problem, it’s the second!

13 October

Cheerleaders!

Two pounds lost this week, for a total now of six pounds. I can feel it in my clothes and body, though I can’t see it.

Maybe one day I will tell you all why I decided 36 was the age to lose this ‘babybaby weight,’ but for now let’s just say it’s not as bitter as I thought it would be, only sweet.

Onto week three! Thanks to all who like, comment, or say stuff to me when they see me! It cheers me right on.

20 October

Cheerleaders – another pound down this week, bringing us to seven (half a stone!). My clothes feel looser, and this way of eating (whole foods, no processed stuff) means I have more energy than I’ve had in years.

This week I have gotten lax about recording what I’ve eaten, so definitely will focus on that moving into this new week!
